The family of Craig David Ostertag of Evansburg, Alberta is saddened to announce his sudden passing on February 8, 2023, at 51 years of age. Craig was born in Drayton Valley, Alberta on August 14, 1971. He was a charming and charismatic soul. He had an excellent sense of humour and could light up a room. Craig loved all his family members deeply. Craig’s main career was as a Safety Supervisor, working for numerous companies, including British Petroleum.
Craig will lovingly be remembered by his mom, Valerie Ostertag; his sons, Shelby Mathew Cole Ostertag, Tristen Brody Ostertag, and Brock Grady Ostertag; his sisters, Crystal Denise (Larsen) and Candace Laice Marlene (Shea); his second wife Melanie Charlton, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Craig was predeceased by his father, Dennis Gordon Ostertag, his fraternal grandparents, Gordon and Margaret Ostertag and his maternal grandparents, Jack and Jean Thompson. Craig was also predeceased by his first wife, Carmen Lee Maerz.
A celebration of life will be held at the Evansburg Legion, on Saturday, May 20th at 2:00pm.
