Bye, Constance Ann passed away peacefully on Saturday August 19, 2023, at Pine Villa Retirement Residence at the age of 93. Ann was predeceased by her husband Alvin (1984). She will be remembered as the proud and loving mother of David (Tammy) Bye. Forever cherished grandmother of Frederick (Ashley) and Sarah Bye and great grandmother of Wesley, William, Aliyah. Emerson, Calvin, Bella and Aurora. She was the only child of the late Stanley and Myrtle Gilbey.
Ann worked as a nurse at Toronto Western Hospital before making a career change to teaching. She taught kindergarten at Ray Underhill Public School in Streetsville until her retirement in the mid 1970’s. Ann then became a piano teacher, a job she continued to do into her seventies. She loved music and shared her gifts as the pianist and with the choir at All Saints Anglican Church for many years.
Ann was selfless; she would always make sure others had what they needed before herself. She was grateful for the life she had and took nothing for granted. She was kind, caring and compassionate; qualities her family and friends will deeply miss.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements for a memorial service are pending.
