DeConno, Concetta (Fusco)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Concetta (nee Fusco) DeConno on March 5, 2023 at the age of 83 years. Devoted wife to Arturo, and very loving mother of Giovanni. Concetta is the dear sister of Diodoro Fusco (Anna Maria) of Italy and is predeceased by her parents Donato Fusco and Petronilla (nee DeConno) Fusco, her dear sister Antonietta (nee Fusco) DeCorso, wife of Nicola DeCorso and cherished brother Carmelo Fusco and his wife Erminia of Switzerland. She is also remembered by many sisters/brothers-in-law in Italy and Switzerland. A special thank you to all her friends on Teakwood Place.
Concetta immigrated from San Marco Dei Cavoti, Benevento, Italy to Switzerland with her husband to work together and then to Guelph, Ontario. She had an endless energy and was selfless until the very end. She loved cooking homemade food and baking many cakes for the family occasions and all the paesane that came to visit. Sewing along with flower and vegetable gardens were also a passion.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N. Guelph, ON. (Sunday March 12, 2023 from 1-5 p.m), with a Vigil to follow for Concetta. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church 175 Emma St., Guelph on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery to follow.
