Clinton (aka Slim) Shane Sweder
January 19, 1977 – March 13, 2023
We mournfully announce the passing of Clinton Shane Sweder of Grande Prairie Alberta at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital on March 13, 2023 at the age of 46.
Clint was born in Fort St. John BC on a warm day in January. He worked for the City of Grande Prairie for over 20 years in the Crystal Center (Bonnet) until his stroke in October of 2020.
Clint was always the funny, jovial, goofy life of the party. He loved sports of all sorts, especially football and baseball. He played softball for many years and golfed and was always up on sports stats. He also loved comics and reading. Clint will be deeply missed by all family and friends.
Clint is survived by his mother Trudy Sweder, his sister Carmen Sweder and a nephew, Jackson.
He was predeceased by his father Lou Sweder.
A Celebration of Life for Clint will be held on March 23 at 11am at the Bowes Family Gardens (Bonnetts Center) 10017 99 Avenue Grande Prairie.
Clint’s request was to have an open mic to anyone who wishes to share after interment.
