McCoy, Clifford
1940-2023
The family and friends of Clifford Ivan McCoy are sad to
announce his passing on July 6th, 2023, at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers. Clifford was reunited in Heaven with
his late wife Jeanie (2022) and his late son Jamie (2019). He was born
on August 7th, 1940, in Noonan NB, to his
parents, the late Ivan and Jean (Kelly) McCoy.
He is survived by his siblings, Byron McCoy (Annette), Helen
Ladds (Bert), and Thelma Rolfe as well as several nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
In addition to his wife, son and parents, Clifford was
predeceased by his brothers Edward McCoy (Roberta), Royden McCoy,
Clifton McCoy and a sister Phyllis McCoy as well as a brother-in-law
Glen Rolfe.
Clifford worked at different jobs as a laborer but would be
most recognized as a sanitation worker where beside his wife in their
garbage truck they provided garbage disposal service for the residents
of Geary NB. Clifford loved all animals, big or small and had a
special place in his heart for his Canine babies, Lucky and Maggie.
He and Jeanie enjoyed attending hockey games and were avid
Fredericton Canadians fans as well as the Montreal
Canadians.
It was Clifford’s wish that there be no visitations
or funeral services. Cremation will take place at Bishop’s
Funeral Home Crematorium and an interment for Clifford and Jeanie will
be held at Maugerville Baptist Cemetery at a date to be announced.
Thank you to his immediate family, his neighbors for their
help and to the staff of 4E at the Dr Everett Chalmers
Hospital.
Memorial donations in Clifford’s memory may be made
to the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery, the St Margarets Anglican Church
(Forest Hill Road), the SPCA or CARMA.
