Obituary
Penney, Clayton Harold– 67, passed away at peacefully on April 19, 2023 at Roseway Hospital. Born in Lower Clark’s Harbour on November 28, 1955 he was a son of the late Chesley and Goldie (Atwood) Penney. Clayton loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren who brought him so much joy. He enjoyed deer hunting, ducking and playing softball. In his younger years Clayton went fishing with his brother, Leslie. He also worked for several fish plants. Clayton was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. He loved spending time with his brother, Tony as he was his go to person for anything and everything. Clayton’s favorite things in life were his diet Pepsi and Mars Bars. He is survived by his children, Alice (Justin) Belliveau, Paula (Dwayne) Hunt and Georgia (Landon) Quinlan; his cat, Blackie “Bub”; grandchildren, Jenna, Logan, Jessica, Paige, Kearsten, Dawson, Nicholas and Grayson; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Hunter, Allie, Myles, River, Rogan and Rhysse; siblings, Parnell (Frank) Goodwin, Dianne (Harris) Buchanan, Rosemary (Calvin) Kaiser, Tony (Debbie) Penney and Roxanne (Tommy) Hallett; several nieces and nephews; special friend and roommate at surf lodge, Terry Price. Besides his parents, Clayton was predeceased by his daughter, Angie Penney; step-father, Owen (Offie) Symonds; siblings, Melba Goodwin, Leslie Penney and Gary Penney. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. In keeping with Clayton’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of choice.
