It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Norman Snooks in his 75th year on March 15, 2023. He leaves to mourn, with loving and fond memories, his best fur-buddy Bruno, his best friend and care-giver Karen Reid, also James, Richard, Maxine, and Alvin.
He is predeceased by his beautiful wife Margaret (Peggy) Snooks (nee Parsons), mother and father Norman & Amelia Snooks, siblings Thomas Snooks, Noble Snooks, Robert Snooks (Carrie), Wallace Snooks (Charlotte), Lorena (George Day), Bernice (Sydney Young), Manie (Dennis Murphy), parents-in-law John and Julia Parsons and brother-in-law Samuel Parsons.
Clarence is survived by his sisters Gertrude and Melva, brother Derek (Mary Ellen), brothers-in-law John Parsons (Rebecca), Jerry Parsons (Peggy), and a large circle of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
As per Clarence’s wishes, cremation has taken place, funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clarence’s honor can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada for people living with Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia. Many thanks going out to the staff at Long Term Care & Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their care and support.
Public visitation will take place at Fillatre Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Tuesday, March 21st from the hours of 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 24th at 2:00pm at All Hallows Parish, 109 Humber Road, with Father Lee Lainey officiating.
