Clara Walsh
1930-2023
Walsh, Clara Harriet (Irving) of Fundy Royal
Manor, Hillsborough New Brunswick.
Formerly of Moncton, passed peacefully Tuesday,
January 3, 2023.
She was born in Baltimore, Albert County New
Brunswick, June 30, 1930, to the late Corey and Orpha (Berry) Irving.
As a young girl, her family moved to Upper Coverdale. now a protected
heritage property, and the mural of her family home can be seen above
the front doors of the Riverview Sobeys to this day. Her
Family being only the second owner of this property is
something she was very proud and pleased about. Her stories of the
things that she experienced living there are precious memories that
like her, will never be forgotten. Even though Dementia had a huge
grip on her she never lost her great sense of humor.
One of her favorite memories to the end was as a
teenager her first job was in the mail room at Eaton’s and how Mr.
Eaton would stop in and tell them what a great job they were
doing.
She was predeceased by her sister Mabel and
brothers Jim, Howard, Clayton, Ernest, Johnny, and Grandson Jeremy
Walsh.
She is survived by her sons Leonard of Moncton NB,
Larry (Alisa) of Second North River NB, and Paul (Diane) of Moncton
NB. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
At the request of the family, a private graveside
service will be held at Fairhaven Cemetery, Salisbury Road; date to be
determined.
A Big Thank you to the wonderful staff of Fundy
Royal Manor and the Doctor’s and Nurses of the Moncton
Hospital
Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral
