Christopher Wayne Hogan, age 39, passed away on Wednesday, July 26th 2023. Chris had been fighting a battle with cancer and died unexpectedly at home in Highland Grove, Ontario. He was born in Peterborough, Ontario on December 7th 1983 to Wayne Patrick Hogan and Carol Rose Hogan (Holbrook). Predeceased by his father and mother, as well as his sister Michelle Hogan. Survived by his Grandfather Leo Patrick Hogan, his Aunts Barb and Tammy Hogan, Rayella Hogan and Kay Evans, his uncle Barry Holbrook, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A true friend and partner to Karen Mitchell and loving father to their son Arlan Christopher Hogan. Christopher spoke highly of and loved his children Jocelyn, Carter and Arlan. Chris had a love for the outdoors and loved a good adventure. He particularly enjoyed fishing, a passion he inherited from his father. He had a keen eye and strong passion for hardscaping/stone work, was a very skilled carpenter, and was just talented overall in many projects. Chris had a unique sense of humour where you sometimes didn’t know whether to laugh out loud or be offended. His personality was compelling and he will be missed greatly by family and friends that grew to love him. Chris will be buried next to his father, mother and sister at Deer Lake cemetery and a celebration of life will be held at a later date to honour his life.
