In Loving Memory of Christina Elizabeth Adams
1966 – 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Christina Elizabeth Adams of Little Branch, Black River Bridge, NB, passed away unexpectedly at the Moncton City Hospital on June 16, 2023, at the age of 56.
Born in Chatham, NB, on August 25, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Adams and the late Mary “Bessie” Adams (McLeod). She was a loving Mother to her only-child, Cynthia, in which Cynthia is forever grateful for her Mother’s love and care. Christina was a very nurturing and kind-hearted person who gave so much of her love and soul to her family. This included her gentle care provided to her mother “Bessie” for many years, in which she was able to keep her Mother at home during her elderly years.
Christina is survived by her beloved daughter: Cynthia Adams (Nikki) of Little Branch, NB; her sisters: Pauline Adams of Miramichi, Minnie Simpson of Miramichi, Hilda Racco (Ray) of St. John, NB, Marguerite Barry (The Reverend Robert Barry) of Bay du Vin, NB, Eunice Wilcox of Winnipeg, MB, and Norma Mutch (Scott) of Miramichi. She is also survived by her brothers: Arthur Adams (Lylla) of Napan, Dennis Adams, Don Adams (Kim), and Brian Adams (Davida), all of Miramichi. Christina is survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored. Besides both of her parents, Christina is predeceased by her brothers: Alfred, George, little brother, Auley, and infant brother, Jackie. She is also predeceased by her brothers-in-law: Willie Simpson and Tom Wilcox.
A visitation will take place at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St. Miramichi, on Thursday, June 22, from 12-2 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM, with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight as Officiant. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the family of Christina Elizabeth Adams would be greatly appreciated by the family.
The family would also like to sincerely thank the caring and compassionate staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, and the Moncton City Hospital for their dedication in caring for Christina.
