Obituary
Cheryl passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 25, 2023. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late James and Margret Farmer, predeceased by her husband Paul, survived by two sons Andrew (Trish) and Matthew (Richelle), as well as sisters-in-law Alyn and Trudy Nickel. Loving Grandmother to Jude, Isaac, Anne, Glanna, Madeleine, Paul, Malcolm and William.
Cheryl worked at Bell Canada for several years before leaving to raise her young children. She enjoyed a second career in real estate, in which she found great joy. Relationships were a big part of her life, and she maintained lifelong and meaningful connections with those with whom she worked. Family was first and foremost, and her support and involvement in all aspects of her family’s lives was unwavering. She loved travelling, spending time at the lake, and being a part of the neighbourhood, she lived in for 50 years. She will be forever remembered for the sense of occasion she had, the pride she had for her community of friends, and the love for her family.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses that cared for her during her illness, and a heartfelt gratitude to all of those who offered support and care, especially her night angel and friend Heather Campbell and sister-in-law Alyn.
At her request, a private service will be held at W.G. Young Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice through W.G. Young Funeral Home website at www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
