Charlie’s Obituary
T. Charles Hogbin, life-long resident of Harmon Valley, passed away on March 4th in Peace River, at 86 years of age. He was born in Nampa (AB), to Archie and Mary Hogbin.
As a younger adult, he pursued a career as a seismic driller in Australia and the U.S.A. Later, he began a family with his wife Carol, adding a daughter (Crystal) then a son (Blair).
Charlie was very passionate about his draft horses, often doing farm work with his teams and doing hay rides for the community. His pride & joy were his grandchildren and family. The majority of his life was spent doing what he loved: farming. That love of farming remained, as Charlie downgraded from being able to work the fields…..to working his flowerbed and gardens.
Countless hours donating his time showed Charlie’s commitment to Harmon Valley. He was a volunteer firefighter and a member of Harmon Valley Ag Society.
Charlie was pre-deceased by his wife Carol; brother Benny; his parents. He is survived by his children Crystal (Larry) and Blair (Cory); grandchildren Scott, Lana, Cash, Paige; siblings Doug, Christine, Dorothy, Jack & Garry.
In line with Charlie’s wishes, a small family gathering will be held at a later date.
