Tom is survived by his loving wife Starr (nee: Iwankow) of 54 years; children Tammy, Corrie (Bobby) and Lindsay (Jamie); grandchildren Amanda (Adam), Samantha, Jorden, Carlie, Brody and Ike; and great grandchildren Paxton and Brynn. He will be missed by siblings Ken (Lynn) and Suzanne (George); and fur babies Sandy and Joey.
Tom and family lived in Winnipeg with their weekend retreat at their cabin in Falcon Lake. There they lived across from Starr’s brother Terry and family. The two families had great times together fishing, snowmobiling and gathering around the bon fire.
Tom loved working in his pipefitting trade but it often took him out of town. Tom applied for work in Kenora so he and Starr could be together all the time. He was so happy in their beautiful lakefront home.
In his late 50’s, they retired and bought a winter home in Texas. They enjoyed travelling around the world and two years ago they moved back to Manitoba to be closer to family.
A small family gathering will take place in the spring to spread Tom’s ashes.
