It is with great sadness to announce the passing of my Dad Charles Thornhill announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Pt, NL, on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, at the age of 95 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter; Leta Wall, his granddaughters; Natasha Wall (Mark Gibson), and Natalie (Daniel Pinsent), his great grandchildren; Niya, Matthias, Neva, Nala, and Theo, his brother; Felix Goosney, and sisters-in-law; Laura Caines, and Almeda Thornhill. Lovingly remembering his many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Many loving thanks to Tamara Decker, Josephine Goosney, Dads home support caregivers for their dedication.
Charles was predeceased by his wife; Rita (Payne) Thornhill, and daughter Elizabeth Thornhill, his parents; James Thornhill, and Elsie (Sidney) Goosney, brother; Samuel Thornhill, sisters; Viola (Chris) Perry, Kitty (Edmond) Keough, and his brother-in-law; Wilfred Caines.
The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Saturday June 3rd, 2023, from the hours of 1-2 pm, where also the Funeral service will take place from at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, with Rev Terry Rose officiating with the burial to follow at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery, in Parsons Pond, NL.
The family whishes are to have “Strict Covid Precautions Enforced”
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main St., Deer Lake.
