It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Catherine Bungay on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in Burgeo. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her Husband, Tony, children Douglas (Megan) and Dylan (Emily). She also leaves to mourn her sisters June (Dan) and Betty (Ed), and brothers Dean (Regina) and Roger (Una). Mother-in-law Mary Bungay. Sisters-in-law Yvonne (Cyril), Juanita (Brian), Audrey (Sandra), Michelle. Brothers-in-law Eugene, Hubert (Audrey), Danny (Lisa). Nieces Donna, Dana, Kelly, Katie, Allison, Christina, Samantha. Nephews Curtis, Corey, Jonathan. Great nieces Jada, Rylee, Mia, Quinn, Annabelle and Penelope. Great nephews Benjamin and Alexander. As well as special cousin Jeffrey Hann (Kylee) and “K’s girls” Carley and Avery. And her very special friends Juanita Hatcher and Cassie Porter. Catherine loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with them.
Catherine is being reunited with her parents Alice and Douglas Hann, Brother Lloyd Hann, Grandparents Garland and Catherine, and father-in-law Isaac Bungay. She leaves behind a large circle of Aunts, Uncles and extended family and friends.
Cremation will be taking place. She will be resting at her residence on Friday and a visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist on Saturday February 11th from 2-4 and 6-8.
The service will be held Sunday February 12th at 2 P.M. at the St. John Evangelist Anglican Church.
