It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine Zyznomirski announces her passing on December 22, 2022 at the Welland Hospital. Auntie or Kay was loved by everyone who knew her. She always had an encouraging word and she loved her family and friends dearly. She is predeceased by her Parents Jean and John Murphy, Husband John, Sister Isabel, and Nephews John, Mark and Nathan.
Survived by Sister in Law Rose (late John), Brother in Law Peter (Florence), Nephews Dennis (Ella), Dave (Terri), Don (Deb), Ed (Wanda), Ralph (Toni) and Nieces Brenda, Carol (David), Sandra and Cathy (Ray), and Lori and many great nephews and nieces who Cathy also loved dearly.
Cathy generously donated over the years to many charitable organizations. Donation can be directed to either the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of her nephews John and Mark or the Walker Family Cancer Centre in memory of husband John.
Heartfelt thanks to Seasons Retirement Home staff for over a decade of excellent care as well as the staff of 4 East Welland Hospital who cared so compassionately for Cathy in her final weeks.
Services will be held at H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main St., Welland on Wednesday December 28, 2022. Visitation from 1PM to 2PM and Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2PM.
