Obituary
Catherine (Kay) Patterson (nee Donald)
Born June 24, 1934. Died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Beloved wife to Ken for over 67 glorious years. Loving Mom to Jim (Carla), Ken (Karen) and Heather (Scott), Nana to Jaclyn Patterson (Matt), Becca Audette (Paul) and Graeme Patterson.
She was also Mom ‘P’, Mrs. ‘P’ or just Mom to many of her kids’ friends, the Rovers of 1st Dixie, and many other friends from around the world.
Ask anyone and they will tell you – her smile lit up a room with happiness and love. She loved to laugh, had a huge heart, was genuine and honest, and made everyone in her life welcome and part of the family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she was happiest when everyone was together.
She loved road trips and camping, traveled across Canada at least 12 times, she was not adventurous by nature but was never afraid to try anything. She loved golfing – took lots of shots but they were all straight! Cross country skiing was also a favourite. She was amazing at cross stich, consumed word search puzzles and loved a great game of cards with her friends.
Forever in our hearts – she’s in the arms of the angels to carry her home.
Please join the family in celebrating Kay’s life at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. Eulogies at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross to support the War in Ukraine or Relief for Earthquake torn Turkey/Syria.
