It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful, vivacious daughter, Cassandra Bechard at the age of 33. Beloved daughter of Leo Bechard Jr. & Liz Bechard (Dave Standel). Cherished sister of Tom Bechard, Mike Bechard (Jenni) and Kara Bechard. Granddaughter of Leo Bechard Sr. and reunited with grandparents Jane Bechard, Walter Bouma (Mamie) and Lorraine Dupuis (Leonard). Cassie will be greatly missed by many uncles, aunts and lots of cousins. Loved niece to Anne Dame (Marty), Grace Mullins (Jim), Karen Dickson (Paul), Randy Bouma (Terra), the late Judy Ryall (Ken), Carol Murphy (the late Rick), Sandra Quenneville (Marc), Jim Bouma (Janice), Grant Bouma (Debra), Bob Bouma (Michelle), Diane Leboeuf (Joe) and Jean-Paul Bouma (Tara Pueschel). Already missed by her beloved cat Toby.
Cassie was born an old soul and approached life with wisdom and joy and was always happy to help anyone who needed it. She loved the colour purple and had a passion for knitting and crocheting. Cassie was a graduate of the University of Waterloo Mathematics Program and has worked at the University of Waterloo as a Computing Consultant supporting the Faculty of Health and the development of Graduate Studies and Post-Doctoral Affairs.
Cassie will be sadly missed by many colleagues and friends.
A special thank you to her friends, Paul, Harrison and Phoenix for all your love and support the past week and for all the help of the “big move.” Cassie loved you all very much.
Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. A memorial service will take place in Kitchener/Waterloo will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
