It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Carter Baker of St. Bernard’s announces his passing. Carter passed away at his home in St. Bernard’s on Monday, February 6th, 2023, at the age of 71. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 45 years, Florence; mother Hettie; son Shane of St. Bernard’s; daughters, Nicole Clarke of St. Bernard’s, Christie Baker (Bobby Hardy) of St. John’s; 2 grandchildren, Gracie and Cayden; sisters, Rowena Baker (Darwin), Pearl Walters (Lloyd), Patricia Sheppard (Rupert); sister-in-law Anita Benteau; brothers & sisters-in-law of the Myles Family; fur buddy, Chico; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Carter was predeceased by his granddaughter Anika Clarke; father Edward Baker; brother Leslie Baker; sister-in-law Maureen Grandy.
The Baker Family will be accepting family and friends at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, St. Bernard’s on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 starting at 2pm and Friday, February 10th, 2023 all day. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow.
