Carolyn “Sue” Etherton Masterson- age 81 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Preceded in death by husband, Roy Lynn Masterson.
Survived by daughters, Stephanie (Scott) Medlin and Brenda (Ted) Wilson; grandchildren, Cordell and Ryan Medlin, Grace (Esteban) Pilo-Pais and Daniel Wilson; and brother, CW (Donna) Etherton.
Mom was known as a loving and caring person to everyone from family, to friends, to the office, and as a cafeteria worker at Carter High School. She made sure students had “seconds” if they wanted. You never left hungry. Mamaw was also known as a dedicated sports fan, U.T. Vols. Mamaw was often found coaching from her chair. . . “How ‘bout them Vols!”
The family will receive friends 6:00- 8:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home to follow in procession for an 11:00 AM graveside service at Eastview Memorial Gardens. Chaplain Ted Wilson and Mr. Scott Medlin will officiate. Pallbearers: Scott Medlin, Cordell Medlin, Ryan Medlin, Ted Wilson, Grace Pilo-Pias and Daniel Wilson.
