Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Carolyn Jane Touchbourne, announce her promotion to her heavenly home on February 18, 2023, but rejoice that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for all eternity. She finished her race and laid up for her is a crown of righteousness.
John 11:25-26 I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believith in me shall never die, believest thou this?
Carolyn was born in Saint John, NB on September 1, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Harold and Elsie (Campbell) McGaghey.
Carolyn and Jim married on March 19, 1966 at Calvary Temple. She was very active in every aspect of life including raising her four boys. She belonged to the Ladies Ministry, was President of the Women Aglow Ministry. She later worked in retail until her and Jim co-founded a Petroleum Mechanical Contracting and Maintenance Company. Carolyn also had her own cake decorating shop and supply store.
Her and Jim relocated to Wickham in 1994 where she, in 2002, started her own Red Hat Society Group called the Victorian Vintage Violets, Chapter 15049 where she shared lots of laughs and befriended many.
In 2005 her and Jim cofounded Junction Ministries (JCT) Inc, sharing Jesus without fear, along with co-pastoring.
Carolyn’s graduation took place at Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis, NB.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Jim Touchbourne; her four sons James R. (Patricia Skidmore), Scott (Patricia), Troy (Melody) and Peter (Shari); one younger brother Greg (Lee); 8 grandchildren, Kyle, Krysten (Graeme Matheson), Andrew, Kallie, Louise, Cody, Kolin and Hannah.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her loving uncle and aunt George and Florence Smith and her step-father Willard Akerley.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will be held at Calvary Temple on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11am. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Calvary Temple Missionary Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
