Obituary
We regretfully announce the passing of Carole Patterson, who was taken away from us surrounded by her family on the snowy sun shining morning of Friday March 10th, 2023 at the age of 71. Carole had a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s and is finally at peace with her mind and body at rest.
Beloved wife of Andy Patterson for 48 years. Loving mother of Kelly (Todd), Jen and Mark, Grandmother to Serenity. Loving sister to Dennis (Darlene) Dynes, late Shirley (Bill) McClardy and late Ronny (Marlene) Dynes. And the many nieces and nephews that filled her heart, Karen (Scott), Heather, John, Nicole (John), Brendan and all of their loving children. Predeceased by her parents John Albert Dynes and Henrietta Vance.
After Graduating from Bathurst Heights and meeting her loving husband Andy, she went on to work at All Canada Radio and TV as a Correspondence for Management. Many years later went to work at Oracle Accounts Receivable. She loved her work. Mostly because she was surrounded by the kind people she got to spend her days with.
Once she and Andy had kids she chose to be home to raise their children as Andy worked in automotive and in his down time renovating all parts of the family home and moving furniture whenever Carole requested.
Mom was a family person. She was the glue that kept us together and made sure we spent meaningful time with one another. We often think of our trips to florida, wonderland, board games, bowling parties, birthday parties, bike rides, centerville, sunday roast dinners, toonie tuesday, swiss chalet Fridays, pool yard relaxing, shopping and simply being together as our lives were passing as we all grew.
Mom loved animals and strays. Growing up Kelly, Jenny and Mark had rabbits, hamsters, ducks, fish and of course cats. Mom’s heart was always full of love for any one that needed support, shelter, guidance and care. Her acceptance of friendships and for those in need was immeasurable. How did a heart so big fit in such a small body.
Carole always asked how everyone was doing and gave encouragement and positivity to people. She cared about everyone before herself.
Carole always was a part of everything. She knew all that was good and going on in her loved ones lives and was the rock that supported us, cared for us and always brought us home.
With love always, all ways, Mom.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday April 23rd from 1 – 4 pm at Royal Ontario Golf Club, 6378 Trafalgar Rd, Milton, ON L0P 1E0
