On Sunday, July 9, 2023, M. Carol Soney, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 61yrs to John and loving mother of Angela (Jeff) Williams and the late Colin and Jason Soney. Cherished grandma of Keena, Kelsa, Jaelea, Jeffrey, and great grandma to Taeyn, Bryce, Rhett, Kellan, Aria, Hudson and Leonidas. Carol is the daughter of the late Emerson and Mildred Sands and dear sister of Rose, Sandy, Diane, Bill, Kat, Debb, Joe, Maureen, Emma and the late Walt and Butch. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Her funeral will take place at 1pm on Friday, July 14, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Church (Walpole Island) with burial at Highbanks Cemetery to follow.
