In her own words….
I was born on March 15,1935 in Chicago, Illinois to my deaf parents, Ward and Clara Belford, and grew up with 4 other brothers and one sisters. All are now deceased. My dearest friend and companion, Diana King, is also deceased. Remaining are nieces and nephews, my sister-in-law, and Jane King, the remaining member of my ‘King’ family.
I was working at the Pacific Garden Museum on South State Street when in 1964 I decided to move Canada. I worked at the University of Toronto for a year before I enrolled at the Toronto Bible College (now Tyndale University) and graduated with a Bachelor of Theology degree. I then returned to the University of Toronto where I worked until retirement.
On retirement, my true adventures began in travelling extensively with Diana and in my involvement with Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, especially with the Tuesday a.m. Prayer and Bible Study group, teaching it for 18 years.
I have been so thankful for my relationship with my Saviour, Jesus Christ and the grace, mercy, and love I have experienced. Now I have taken my final journey to my true home with Him.
A memorial service will be held at YORKMINSTER PARK BAPTIST CHURCH, 1585 Yonge St, Toronto on Thursday February 9th at 11 a.m.
