Carmel DeLong, 93, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday June
20, 2023 at Lakeview Manor in Riverview. Born in Chatham, NB, she was
the daughter of the late James M. and Irene (Driscoll)
Kenna.
She is survived by one son, Peter J. DeLong of Saint John;
one sister, Mary Fletcher (late Ben) of Miramichi; one sister in-law,
Phyllis Kenna (late Frank) of Lethbridge; as well as several nieces
and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Vernon J. DeLong (1983);
five sisters: Margaret, Esther, Delores, Theresa, and Rita Smith; and
six brothers: Joseph, Frank, Raymond, Arthur, John, and
Bert.
In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation. The
funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church, 52
Falkland Street, Moncton on Thursday June 29 at 2 pm. Interment will
be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Carmel, a
contribution to Multiple Sclerosis Canada (MS) would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
