Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion, Carbonear on Monday, March 18, 2024, William ‘Bill’ John George of Winterton, age 82 years.
Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Stella; brothers: Stanley and Arthur; step-son: Lorne Penny.
Leaving to mourn, wife: Jean; two daughters: Anna Marie George (Gilroy) and Cindy Andrews; two sons: Bill (Faye) and Brian; grandchildren: Brian, Ashley, Matthew, Jessica, Jenna, and Warren; great-grandchildren: Vincent, Kevin, Sissy, Logan, Liam, Zoey, Jax, Axel, Finn, and Oaklyn; brothers: Irving (Eileen) and Wilfred (Barbara); step-son: James Penny; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; also a large number of relatives and friends.
Visitation at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Thursday, March 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 22 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Friday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. from Lower Trinity Salvation Army Corps, Winterton.
Burial at a later date.
