Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at Dr. A.A Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican on March 14, 2024, Lennox Thorne of Brownsdale, age 66 years.
Predeceased by parents: Jack and Ethel; brother: Barry.
Leaving to mourn, wife: Darlene; daughter: Lisa (Jason) Mercer; son: Grant (Ella); grandchildren: Ethan and Erica; brother: Eldon (Judy); mother-in-law: Hilda Snelgrove; sisters-in-law: Lee Squires (Glenn) and Wendy Doyle (Dave); brothers-in-law: Frank Snelgrove (Janet) and Norm Snelgrove; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Special thanks to Max Hopkins for his daily visits with Lennox, and for snow clearing the driveway during Lennox’s illness. Isabelle Hopkins for her desserts. He thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. Wendy Doyle for her weekly visits and home cooked meals, especially the buns.
Heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital, Old Perlican for their professionalism and compassion during all of our visits during his illness.
Thank you to Dr. Peddle and Michelle for your ongoing care and concern. Crystal Butt, Community Health Nurse and Palliative Care Program who went above and beyond to make sure Lennox had all the necessary support that he needed to enable him to stay home with his family till the very end.
Visitation at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Saturday, March 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 19 from Brownsdale United Church at 2:00 p.m.
Interment at the Brownsdale United Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
