Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke’s Home in the presence of her loving family on October 8,2024,
Janet Sybil Legge of Heart’s Content, age 90 years.
Predeceased by husband, Reginald; parents, Eva and Moses George; sister, Jessie; brother, Edward(Vera); son-in-law: Rick; brothers-in-law: Douglas (Maxine), Leslie, Charles and Clarence; sister-in-
law:.Hazel.
Leaving to mourn, daughters: Yvonne (Randy) Mealey, Valerie (Gary) Hindy, Carol Stoyles, and Tina
(Marlin) Legge-Higgins; sons: Leonard (Yvonne) and Garry (Fronie); grandchildren: Pamela (Dale),
Jonathan, Ryan, Chuck (Sheryl), Tina (Kenny), and Joshua (Stephanie): brothers-in-law: David and
Neville (Violet); sisters-in-law: Norma and Minnie; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-
grandchildren; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Lane’s Retirement Living, Carbonear, and
Saint Luke’s Home, St. John’s, for their wonderful care for our Mom.
Visitation at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Content, on Friday, October 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 12 at2:00 pm from St. Mary’s Anglican Church,
Heart’s Content.
Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery Heart’s Content.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to
St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.
