Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at Dr. A.A Wilkinson Hospital, Old Perlican on Thursday, March 28, 2024, Edwin George Ellis of Hant’s Harbour, age 84 years.
Predeceased by parents: Roy and Elsie: brothers: Robert (Laura) and Harold; sisters: Marjorie (Tom) Cullen and Elizabeth (Eric) Mercer.
Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 59 years: Selina; two daughters: Sandra (John) Ash and Colleen (Derrick) George; son: Wade (Marilyn); seven grandchildren: Cory (Brittany), Mason (Kassidy), Kyle (Courtney), Nicholas, Liam, Justin, and Chloe: two great-grandchildren: Pearce and Violet; brother: John (Jean-deceased); sister: Doris (William-deceased) Harris; sister-in-law: Verina Ellis; special lifelong friend: Melvin Hindy; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Tuesday, April 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Calvary Pentecostal Church, Hant’s Harbour.
Interment at United Cemetery, Hant’s Harbour.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s. NL, A1B 3V6.
