Conway, Bertha, passed peacefully away on Sunday Dec 17, 2023 at Carbonear General Hospital Bertha Seward – Conway age 96 years formerly of New Perlican, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by parents Jack and Hannah Legge, husband Sylvanis Seward of 32 years, husband Michael Conway son Billy Seward, daughter Linda Goslling, son in law Wayne Gosling, grandson Rex Smith, brother John Legge, sisters Lydia (Clarence) Newhook, Myrtle (Chelsey) Peddle, brother in law Walter Smith. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son Eric ( Emily) Seward, daughter Angela(Rex) Smith. Grandchildren Denise(Allie), Petrie, Kirk Gosling, Brian Gosling, Jackie(Gary) Hefford, Jennifer (Steve) Seward, Jeremy ( Terri-Lynn) Smith, Sherry – Lee (David ) Smith. Great grandchildren Cassandra((Wayne), Leach, Megan Gosling, Caleb Meadus, Jonathan Smith, Cayden Hefford, Billie Meadus and Eve Smith, . Great great grandchild Ainslee Jacobs. Sisters Susie Smith and Emma (Melvin) Piercey, sister in law Anne Legge. Numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Winterholme Manor, Winterton for their wonderful care over the last few years, also to nurses and doctors of Carbonear Hospital for their care these last few weeks. Resting at Greens Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Wednesday Dec 20 and Thursday Dec 21 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place on Friday Dec 22, at 2 pm from Greens Funeral Home, Winterton. Interment to folllow in St Matthews United Cemetery , New Perlican. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL.
