Terry was a truly amazing soul. He was generous and kind. He was loved by all who met him.
His love for his wife, children and grandchildren he showed with admiration and compassion. His grandchildren held an extra special place in his heart and it was so very easy to see in his eyes when he spoke of them. He opened his home and played the role of Father to some brothers during their years in Ontario.
When in a room with family and friends the stories were many and the laughter was strong. The love that filled the room was a love from truly beyond.
Terry was a selfless man of great strength he fought this battle with steel gloves and his head held high. He was stubborn beyond words which made his strength even more powerful. He was a man who loved genuinely. He was patient and kind to a fault. He was our Hero.
As per Terry’s wishes cremation has taken place and no visitation.
Donations can be made in honor of Terry to the Cancer Society, Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre or an organization of your choice.
Our hearts ache because of our loss but he does not want us to cry. He wanted us to know he was ready to spread his wings and fly
Forever you will be missed, remembered loved and treasured.
Heaven is gaining an Angel
A kind and gentle soul.
Never did we want to see you suffer
Nor did we want to let you go
Son, Brother, Husband, Father and so much more. You were so very proud to be.
It showed in your smile and everyday life
It was so very easy to see.
We feel this sense of emptiness
In our hearts yet once again.
But we also feel some happiness.
You’re the arms of our parents again.
Though Mom had many children
A mother and sons bond is special you see
Though nobody can explain it
That’s just how it is meant to be.
Mom had many favorites among us,
There are 12 I can name for sure.
But her true favorite as we all know
Is now in her arms once more.
He told us he was not giving up
Oh and fight is what he did do.
He showed us all how truly stubborn he was
He showed it through and through
He did whatever they asked of him
Whatever would give him just one more day.
Another day with his precious family
As we all wanted him to stay.
He is our first loss of Moms children
He is joining our heavenly family today.
So Mom and Dad hold him very tightly
With you he will now stay.
Heaven is the most peaceful place,
Surrounded by many who cherish him so,
We see you as a true Warrior brother,
Many hearts ache as we let you go.
Though this day is hard,
and our loss of you we will make us cry.
We also want you to speard your wings, spread them wide and fly high.
Be free of pain & suffering, free to fly,
You’ll be missed and are very loved
Your family left behind is still with you,
As well as in heaven above.
We love you.
We miss you
Your family
XOXOXO
