Teresa Nora (Corbett) Holland, at the wonderful age of 97 years, passed very peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Glenbrook Lodge.
She is Predeceased by her husband James Leo Holland, Son Jimmy Holland, Grandson Adam Holland and Companion Charlie Stanley.
Left now with fond and loving memories are her Daughters, Peggy Miniter (Francis), Jeannie Holland, Rita Lester (Randy), Maria Holland (Nick Payton), Tish Holland (Marty ton), Donna Manuel (Brian), Libby Holland (Steve Murphy), Daughter-in-Law Judy Holland. Sons, Paul (Dina Liman), David Holland (Denise).
Grandchildren: Mike, Cory, and Renee Lester; Wendy Holland-Pearce, Amy Power and Mandy Power-Moores; Jamie Collins, Kelly Holland; Laura Holland and Safia Liman; Sarah Kearsey, Emma and Julia Payton; Joshua and Rebecca Manuel; James Wickham.
Great Grandchildren: Joel Williams; Joey Holland and Theresa Pearce; Caden Lester; Elsie and Madilyn Herman; Ryan and Cailey Collins; Rudy Rose and Tru Kearsey; Anne and Grace Michelin; Grayson and Ava Manuel; Griffin Power-Moores; Sully Sparkes.
Teresa was an amazing, hard working, beautiful intelligent woman and a devoted, loving Wife and Mother to her 7 daughters and 3 sons.
Busy most of the time running her household she still always had time to sit and listen over a cup of tea and toast or perhaps a warmed apple flip!
Without complaint, she lovingly cared for our needs. She prepared 3 homemade tasty meals every day – no fast food back then – and made sure there was always enough to share with a friend who might and often unexpectedly did come home with one or more of us!
As time passed, again without complaint, She was always “there” when help was needed by her Adult Children or their Children.
Teresa loved life. She was interested in people and traveling! She loved camping in Butterpot Park. She loved dancing. She loved Fun.
To her grandchildren she was “Super Nan”!
Mom and Dad we are so grateful that by your example we learned the importance of love and of family. We all deeply miss you both and with undying love will forever cherish our many wonderful memories.
The Family wishes to send out a special thank you to those of you at Glenbrook Lodge who truly took the time to get to know Mom and who provided her with the level of care and love she deserved. We could easily see some of you truly loved her and that became a huge support to us as well.
We also extend a special thank you to the 2nd floor staff whose professional and knowledgeable support was so valuable during Mom’s last days. Thank you.
Cremation has taken place and an intimate family gathering will be held at a future date.
