Passed away suddenly on December 9, 2024, Solomon Semigak, aged 56 years.
Predeceased by his mother, Sophia; father, Joseph; sister, Sabina; stepdaughters, Mary and Bridget; and granddaughter, Alyssa Power.
Leaving to mourn his partner in life whom he loved deeply, Rose Power; brothers: Paul, Jonas and Harry; stepson, Eddy; daughter, Cassandra; grandchildren, Skyla, Jaxton, Greg and Jasmine; great-granddaughter, Alexis; nephews and nieces: Sophie, Joshua, Susan, Selma, Cathy, Andrea and Hilda; as well as all of his cousins, coworkers at First Light and his extended family, each of whom he loved immensely.
Solomon was passionate about drumming, teaching Inuktitut, and sharing his knowledge through drumming classes. His deep connection to his Inuit culture was evident in everything he did. He was a kind and giving soul, always eager to help bring joy to those around him. Known for his hearty infectious laugh and warm smile, Solomon brought happiness to everyone who knew him. Above all, he cherished his partner, Rose and his family. He will be dearly missed by all. May he rest in peace.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. The family will receive visitors on both Sunday, December 15th and Monday, December 16th from 12 p.m – 9 p.m. Funeral service details to be announced.
