Sean William Mandeville (May 17th, 1967-May 14th 2024).
Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at QE II Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 14, 2024, age 56, following complications from cardiac surgery. Predeceased by his twin brother Stephen (August 2023).
Devastated by this loss are his parents Malachy and Susan and his sister Sue Ann (Allan). Also leaving to mourn his sister-in-law (Maureen) his nephews Jordan, Joshua, and Zachary and niece Laura, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Thank you to Dr. Sommers and Dr. Anderson for their continued care and support for Sean over the last number of years. Heartfelt thank you is also extended to the medical and nursing team in the Intensive Care Unit at QE II for their exceptional care of Sean and our family during this difficult time.
Sean graduated from Memorial University in 1997 with a major in Sociology. He worked in Holman, NWT for 5 years as a Social Worker. He later moved to Halifax where he worked with troubled youth aged 12-18.
He was an avid reader and his library at home consisted of books about history, historical figures, and politics. Sean had a keen interest in provincial and national politics. In his university years, he served on committees relating to student life.
Sean had a kind heart and saw good in everyone and in every circumstance. He is at peace now with Stephen and he will be sadly missed and always fondly remembered.
Visitation will take place on Monday May 27th 2-4 and 7-9 at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road with a Mass at Our Lady, Queen Families Parish, 110 Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl 10:30 am Tuesday, May 28th.
