Passed peacefully away after a short illness on Saturday, April 6, 2024, Samuel James Baird, at the age of 63.
Predeceased by his parents William and Hannah Nancy; brothers Billy, Paul, and other family members of the Vinnicombe and Baird families.
Left with loving memories are his children Amy and Samantha; grandchildren Eli and Brooke; siblings Wanda, David (Beverley), Ann (Brian), Bernice (Philip), Phillip (Dinah), Lucy (Alison), Beverly (Barry) and Allan (Lisa); also, a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Special thank you to friends Sean Vinnicombe, Perry Williams, and Paul O’Neill for your support during this difficult time. Sam loved the outdoors and spent his last year living the country life. He had his faithful dog Daisy with him enjoying his retirement. Sincere thanks to the staff at St. Clare’s for the care and compassion shown to our brother during his brief stay with them.
Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service at Caul’s chapel, LeMarchant Road, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in Sam’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
