Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Friday, May 3, 2024, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband Bernard Fitzgerald; parents Harold and Catherine Murphy; brother Robert Murphy; brother-in-law John Fitzgerald.
Leaving to mourn her brothers Wayne Murphy (Rosena), Kenneth Murphy and Gerard Murphy; sister Karen Johnson (Ken); sister-in-law Cathy Murphy; sisters-in-law Lillian Fitzgerald (Gerald), Mary Fitzgerald and Phyllis Fitzgerald. As well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Peggy loved being a nurse and she spent her 30 year career working at St. Clare’s Hospital. She also enjoyed many different hobbies throughout her life including quilting, sewing, needle point, skiing, bowling, curling and line dancing.
Special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at Pleasantview Towers for all their care and attention given to Peggy during the time she spent with them.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 12 noon from Caul’s Chapel, LeMarchant Road.
