Patricia Anne Coombs
September 27, 1952 – May 25, 2024
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother and grandmother following a courageous battle with cancer, Patricia Anne Coombs, of Portugal Cove South, in her 72nd year.
Predeceased by her parents, Brendan and Anne (nee Ryan) Coombs and all of the members of the Coombs and Ryan families.
Leaving to mourn and cherish her memory, her loving daughter Linda (husband, Jim Kenny); and adored granddaughter Marcia (Niko Mathioadakis) – her pride and joy!
Remembered by special friends Darrell Coombs and Rhonda Bartlett; as well as many southern shore friends.
Mother loved the outdoors, berry picking, trouting, quilting and knitting, but moved of all – loved collecting (and her large collection of) mugs. She loved sharing stories of days gone by and you were always welcome at her home, but her heart was always with Cape Race – her favorite place in the world.
We would like at this time to thank Dr. Thomas McGarry for his care and the staff of the 7th floor West at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their support and professionalism. As well, a special thank you to Father Paul Lundrigan for his spiritual support and guidance.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place from Caul’s Chapel, TORBAY, on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1:00pm, with a private burial at a later date.
