Passed away suddenly March 2nd 2024 in St Clare’s hospital
John Francis Druken age 80
Predeceased by the love of his life Rowena Hatfield . Both are now dancing in the sky. He loved Rowena like no other and was lost without her. John is complete again and I am sure has the biggest smile on his face .
Predeceased by his parents Leo & Helen (Nellie) Druken and sisters Rita Baker and Marion Goodman
Leaving to mourn and with a broken heart his daughter, Cathy Druken Kennedy and husband Jonathan, Grandsons Riley & Brady Druken to whom he passed on his love of Icecream .
2 sons: John Druken – grandchildren Tye , Taylor , Takoda and Kyle (Bianca) and 5 great grandchildren; Leo Druken (Will) and 2 granddaughters Rebecca and Julia;
Brothers: Pat , Ray (Eileen ) Brian (Julie) Doug ( Diane )
Sisters: Brenda Manning ( Mike ) Allison Whalen (Junior) Leona McLaughlin (Mike )
John had many nephews and nieces and friends.
John always had a smile on his face, a kind heart and loved everyone he meet. He would do anything for anyone and never had a bad word about anyone or anything . He loved cooking, baking, music, dancing and going for walks. He loved to go sit on the beach and watch the waves
He had many stories and loved to have a chat with a good cup of tea and a sweet . He enjoyed the simple things of life and is now at peace.
Visitation Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 12 pm- 9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 7, at 10am from the Church of the Good Samaritan (10 St. Clare Avenue)
As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Church of the Good Samaritan Guatemala fund to build a house in John Druken’s memory for a family in need in Guatemala.
