It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Catherine Abbott. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at the age of 78 surrounded by her loving family at Health Sciences. Predeceased by her husband Wally (2010) and her son Chris (2022).
Leaving to mourn her daughter Sherry McGrath (Basil), grandchildren whom she adored: Nikolas Abbott (Kaitlyn), Kyle and Katie McGrath, her furry best friend Sweetie,sister Rosie Snow, niece Joanne Snow (Mike Fagan). Mom was the most selfless person, never asked for anything, never wanted anyone to go out of their way. She thought the world of her family; with the laughs and life lessons she gave us, we’ll hold her memories close and miss her beyond measure. A special thank you to the Nurses and Doctors of ICU & CCU for their utmost care to Mom.
As per Joan’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
Dad and Chris are waiting for you, forever our guardian angels.
