It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Hector Ross Moss, age 90 years, formerly of Jamestown, NL, in the presence of his loving daughter and granddaughter on April 28, 2024, at Glenbrook Lodge, St. John’s, NL.
Predeceased by his wife, Yvonne (nee Pelley); son, Eugene; parents, Hector and Jessie; brothers, Andrew (Alice) and Bill (Blanche); sisters, Margaret (Ronald) and Emmeline; and, son-in-law, Paul Burry.
Leaving to mourn with loving, fond and cherished memories are his devoted daughter, Margaret Moss Burry; grandchildren, Victoria Morrissey (Marcus) and Gary Moss; great-grandchildren, Thea Morrissey, Emma and Luke Moss; and their mom, Victoria Squires, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the amazing staff at Glenbrook Lodge. Ross had many of the same staff members for five plus years and they became like family to him. His quick wit and sense of humour were admired by all.
Cremation has taken place. In honour of Ross’ wishes, no visitation or service will be held. Donations in his memory can be made to St. James Anglican Church, Jamestown, NL.
