It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Raymond Noftall, aged 62, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Shirley Noftall; and father-in-law, James Hickey.
Leaving behind with broken hearts, his loving husband and best friend, Michael Hickey; beloved children, Alex, Chelsea (Nicole), Dylan and Jacob (Brooklyn); siblings: Ken (Sharon), Chris (Carleen), Raymond (Tina), Scott (Bernadette) and Geoff (Pam); in-laws: Jimmy (Andrea), Jenny (Mike), Annie (Keith), Mary (Shawn), Pat, Catherine (Brad), Peter, Billy (Janna), Alice (Derek), Johnny, Stephen and Rodney (Nikki); special mother-in-law, Loretta Hickey; nieces and nephews: Angie, Anthony, Ryan, Raylene, Jordan and Haley; special niece, Kendra and cousin, Barb; Alex and Chelsea’s mom, Karen; many friends and colleagues from Dream Kitchens and Renovations; as well as many close friends and relatives of the Noftall and Hickey families.
Gary took pride and passion in his work and was admired by many in the construction and renovation community. He loved to chase the sun whether it was south of the border or at his cabin on Salmonier Line, most often spending time with his friends and family.
A special and sincere thank you to the nurses and doctors of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, in particular Brenda Hackett (Momma Bear) and Connie Walsh for providing exceptional care and comfort in his final days.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday, July 8th from 11 a.m – 3 p.m and 5 p.m – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Caul’s Chapel on Tuesday, July 9th at 11:30 a.m. For those who are unable to attend in person but are wishing to do so virtually, please visit event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=8f62f81e-140d-4822-903a-575bfc1b79a9
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Single Parents Association, Choices For Youth, or a charity of one’s choice.
