It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we mourn the sudden passing of our father and papa, Edward Stephen Hannaford at his home, age 74. We will forever mourn the wonderful Dad, Faja, Papa, Brother, and Friend that he was.
Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Helen Hannaford (Bush) and sister Helen.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are his three daughters, Heather Delahunty (Joe), Denise Hannaford (Jesse), Amy Negrijn (Christopher) and their mother, Verna Pitcher; his grandchildren, Lucas, Lauren, Jordan, Isabelle and Grace; his sisters, Margaret and Maureen; niece Catherine and nephew Robert; along with other relatives, coworkers, and friends.
We would like to thank Dad’s friends Cherie and Jerome Drover for all their support and assistance as the best neighbours Dad could have had; Tina, with whom Dad loved to exchange cake tins every Christmas, and all his incredible coworkers at Colemans Mount Pearl store.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, with visitation on Monday, March 18th (2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.). Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19th from St. Theresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road, with Interment to follow at Kilbride Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of one’s choice.
