It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dena Fay Vardon (nee Leggo) on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the age of 68. Dena was born in Quebec, lived in Cambridge, Ontario for 42 years and spent her final 3 years with her daughter and son-in-law in Portugal Cove, Newfoundland.
Dena is predeceased by her husband, Robert Vardon, her father and mother, Emerson and Olive Leggo, her brothers Ronnie and Barry Leggo, and her brother-in-law Regis Element.
Leaving to mourn with loving and heartfelt memories her daughter and son-in-law, Alisha and Paul, her siblings; Joy, Blair (Sybil), Glory (Rodney), Craig (Linda), and Darren (Leona), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Dena was known for her love of family and friends, her love for travelling and everything tropical with her best friend Barb, and for her special bond with her little dog, Bella. Dena was loving, gentle, and generous toward her loved ones. She loved going for walks, a cool breeze and a stormy sea.
Thank you to the Palliative Care Program for their help and support over Dena’s last weeks.
Mom, you will be greatly missed by many. The love and care that you gave over the years, and the memories we made together will remain with us always.
As per Dena’s request cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place in Cambridge, Ontario. Details will be provided in coming weeks.
