Obituary
With broken hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Clara Florence Barron (nee Murray), on Friday, June 14, 2024.
Predeceased by her parents Catherine and Luke Murray, husband Augustus Barron; brothers: Jack, Fred and Peter; sisters: Winnie, Aggie, Patricia, Annie and Jenny; brothers-in-law: Harry, Frank, Bill; and sister-in-law Bernice.
Leaving to mourn her five children: Chris, Tina, Tony (Cheryl), Catherine, and Madonna (Darren); her two grandchildren: Brent and Erika (Robert) who she cherished more than anything, they put a smile on her face every time she seen them and always a little wink when saying goodbye; also leaving to mourn are her brother Cyril (Maureen), brother-in-law Bob Dunn; many nephews and nieces, and a large circle of other relatives and friends, as well as her family furry friends.
Mom has left us with so many beautiful memories and stories we will cherish always. Her witty personality and kind heart will always be remembered and never forgotten.
A special thanks goes out to her family doctor, Katie Saunders, for her dedicated care over the years it will never be forgotten. To the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit of the Miller Centre for their outstanding care and compassion in her final days.
Cremation has taken place. As per Clara’s request, a private family service will be held.
In her memory, do an act of kindness for someone, just as Clara would do. Also, donations in her memory can be made to the SPCA St. John’s, as well as Stable Life Inc.
