Obituary
It is with a broken heart and deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved wife of 53 years Mary Bernadette Vincent (affectionately known as Bun).
After a strong and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, and Dementia she passed surrounded by love and peace.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Bob, daughter Tina Matthews, son Russell Vincent, and stepdaughter Carrie MacDonald. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Emmalei Matthews, McKinnley Matthews, Amelia Vincent, and William Vincent. She as well said goodbye to her adored siblings, brother Paul Walker (Dianne) Winterton NL, sisters’ Sandra O’Brien (Chris) St. John’s NL, Glenys Ebsary St. John’s NL, and Andrea Coynoypopulas St. John’s NL. Aunt Bun leaves behind nephews and nieces of which she adored with all of her heart, and so many great nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by father Eric G Walker, Mother Mary Madeleine Walker (Woodfine), and brother Eric Walker (little Joe).
Special thanks to Donna McCaskie, Wanda L Williams, and Renee Smith, whose help and care for Bun during this difficult period, made my life so much more bearable.
I cannot say how grateful we have been to have such devoted home care workers who treated Bun as if she was their own family.
Visitation to take place from Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, on Saturday, June 29, from 12noon-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Caul’s Chapel on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 1:00pm.
Any donations or flowers are welcome and appreciated. Bun would welcome all considerations sent to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada, or The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Newfoundland.
