Augustus Leo Ivey passed peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on November 29, 2024, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Mary (nee McGrath), brothers Jim (Violet), Bill (Theresa), Gordon (Lorraine), sisters Marjorie (Leo) Rice, Josephine (Jerry) Hutchings, Mary Whitman (Gerry) Theresa Cribb (Johnny). Special daughter-in-law Madonna Ivy (Rossiter)
Leaving to mourn his wife of 66 years, Anne Sarah Jane (nee Whiteway), sons Edward (Carolann), Gus (Valerie), special cousin Jim Wheeler, who was like a son to Gus and Anne and a brother to Ed and Guy. Brother Cecil (Alice), sister Frances (Jim Kennedy-deceased). Grandchildren, David, Guy, Allan, Amanda, Natilie Justin (Smith), Westley. Step grandchildren, Weston, Patrick Butler and 13 great grandchildren. Brother-in-law Doug Whiteway (Gail), sister-in-law Hilda King (Mark)
Dad spent his early years as a horticulturist. He loved gardening, hunting, and fishing. Gus and Anne spent a lot of time at their summer home in Tors Cove. Spending their time cutting wood for the cabin and sitting on the patio enjoying their time with family and friends.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Caul’s Chapel on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Inurnment to take place on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Rd
