It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Predeceased by her loving husband Peter Boone; parents Andrew and Francis Hannaford; brothers: Edward and John Hannaford of the Goulds.
Left to mourn her loving husband Ron Dawson; daughter Donna (Paul); son Gerry; stepdaughter Paula; stepsons: Gary, Shane, Ronnie; grandchildren: David (Olivia), Brett (Bethany), Blake, Lacey, Tanya (Shawn), Deanne, Mark, Jason, Amy; great-grandchildren: Brandon, Benjamin, Liam, Flynn, Tate, Brooke, Shane; sisters: Francis, Nonie, Katherine, Angela, Marion; brothers – in-law: John Boone (Marge), Albert Boone; sisters-in-law: Margie Boone, Valerie Hannaford, Loretta and Mona. Alice also leaves behind nieces and nephews and a large circle of lifetime family and friends and card buddies.
The family would like to thank everyone who reached out or visited, your kindness will always be remembered. To the staff at Winslow Manor, thank you for everything and for making moms stay comfortable. To Dr. Major and Dr. O’Shea, thank you for helping to keep mom comfortable this past while. To the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and everyone on the 3rd floor, we cannot thank you enough for the compassion and care you have shown our mom through her brief stay with you. We have become friends with you guys and some of the resident’s families as well. Your hard work will never be forgotten. As mom always said, “You were her Angels.” To her sister-in-law Valerie, thank you for the countless hours you spent with mom while she was sick, we are forever grateful. To all our family and friends who stopped by, texted, called, offered prayers and well wishes, sat with us nightly offering support. We thank you! Lastly to Tanya, the love you have shown to mom (Nanny), is beyond. You have made sure with all the moves and sickness in hers and pops past few years have been done in a timely seamless matter. We cannot thank you enough for all your help and support.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday, April 27th from 12-9 p.m. and Sunday April 28th from 2-4 p.m. to 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, April 29th, 2024 at 2 p.m. am at Caul’s Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Diabetes Association.
