Roy Jenkins Obituary
It’s with broken hearts that the family announce the passing of Roy Jenkins, age 54 years of Too Good Arm, NL. Roy passed peacefully into the presence of God, at James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, surrounded by his family.
He is predeceased by his parents Roland & Flossie, brother Peter.
He leaves to mourn sisters Winnie (Herb), Una (Justin), Wanda (Corey), guardian Hope (Wayne), nieces Tomasina, Tamara, Stacey, Stephaine, past and present caregivers, as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Resting at the Gospel Light Pentecostal Tabernacle, Cobbs Arm, NL, Visitation will take place on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the church on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 2 p.m.
Donations in Roy’s memory may be given to his family.
Roy was born to Roland and Flossie Jenkins on July 18, 1970. Over the years he lived in Virgin Arm, Birchy Bay, Cobbs Arm. In April of 2000 he moved in his own residence in Too Good Arm, it didn’t take long for him to be known in the community. He was loved by all who met him. He loved going to church, R&J, Marry Brown’s and not to forget Robins for “donut”. He enjoyed his outings with the Community Friends Group, organized by Tony Ivany. His activities included outings, watching movies, music, berry picking in the summer, and playing with his musical toys.
Thanks to the hospital, funeral home, caregivers over the years and all who helped in any way to help ease the sorrow.
