Obituary
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, on Friday, November 22, 2024, Lenora Taylor (nee Critch), formerly of Gaskiers, St. Mary’s Bay, aged 59 years.
Lenora was reunited with her husband Mike, infant daughter Allison, her Dad & Mom Leonard and Alice; brothers Willie, David and Leonard Critch; sister Linda Sparrow; sisters-in-law Anne Marie Critch and Deanne Hillier and brother-in-law Dominic Sparrow.
Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Hope, who was her world and the light of her life; her sisters: Jose (Edward) Kielly, Jeanette, Barb (Jim) Dalton and Anna Gibbons; sisters-in-law: Ann Taylor, Barb Hall (Tony), Paula Taylor and other members of the Taylor Family; aunt Mercedes Critch and her family; nephews: Evan (Jillian), Ned (Elaina), Matt (Nicole), David (Brianna) and Gavin; nieces: Tiffany (Corey), Lindsey, Nicole (Michael) and Jody (Mark); great-nephews and nieces, whom she adored: Ashton, Jordan, Nathan, Henry, Lenni and Abigail, nieces and nephews of the Taylor family and a large circle of other relatives and friends, including her special cousin and friend Paula Fleming, long time friends Cindy Gilmore and Sherry Ryan; and the staff and residents of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home -1 South, who became her extended family, especially Cheryl Bishop-St. Croix, who provided Lenora with loving care and plenty of home cooked meals during the past three years.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Tuesday, November 26, from 12:00pm-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 27, at 1:00pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s, followed by a reception at the Gaskiers-Point La Haye Community Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.
