As a much loved teacher she touched the lives of many young students. She was a kind, loving, compassionate individual who always had words of encouragement for anyone she encountered. Violet was a dedicated church volunteer who served in many roles which included church warden, president of the ACW, eucharistic assistant and lecturer of biblical studies. She was an animal lover and in summertime could often be found walking the beaches of Cape Freels or the trails of Newtown. Her sense of humor and infectious laugh will always be remembered.
We gratefully acknowledge the nurses and staff of 4 South B HSC, Dr. Dayna Butler, and Archdeacon Edward Keeping.
Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, March 14, 2-4:30 and 7-9. Funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Friday, March 15 at 2 PM (see Barrett’s website for live stream) with interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery, Kenmount Road.
